I’m Karen Olson, Business and Sales Coach and owner of Living in Charge. With over 27 years of experience in sales, marketing, and small business, I specialize in helping organizations achieve, and often exceed their goals. My career began at a small print company, and after two years, I joined a franchise group where I spent 23 years excelling in sales. I quickly climbed the ranks to become a Top 10, Top 5, and ultimately the #1 Sales Rep in the country within the franchise—a position I held for nine years. During that time, I coached a colleague to Rookie of the Year and contributed to our company earning the Top Franchisee Location award three times.
As part of the management team, I gained experience in operations, leadership, and working alongside a business coach, which fueled my passion for helping others succeed. Early in my career, I learned the value of setting clear goals, creating actionable plans, and tracking progress— principles I’ve carried throughout my journey.
I founded Living in Charge to empower business owners, leaders, and sales professionals to strategize for growth and overcome challenges. My approach is tailored to each client’s unique goals and obstacles, using SMART goals, actionable strategies, and accountability check-ins to deliver measurable results.
